Recital of Sonya Yoncheva

On December 1, the Russian National Youth Symphony Orchestra will perform in a recital of the world famous Bulgarian singer Sonia Yoncheva. Today she is singing leading soprano roles in the best opera houses of the world, including the Metropolitan Opera in New York, the Royal Opera House in London, La Scala in Milan, Paris Opera, Liceu in Barcelona and many others. "Extraordinary poise in both voice and presence, fully inhabiting each character," wrote the American magazine Opera News about her. The program covers several authors and styles: from Verdi and Massenet to Mascagni and Leoncavallo. The conductor is Nayden Todorov, the music director of the Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra since 2017.
