Ramon Vargas will celebrate Christmas with a solo concert in Moscow

On December 25, a solo concert by Ramon Vargas, a world-famous singer from the top ten outstanding contemporary tenors, will take place in the Tchaikovsky Hall. For the Mexican artist, who settled in Vienna many years ago, it has long become a kind of tradition to perform in Russia on the eve of the New Year. The long-awaited singer will appear in all the splendor of his skill and multifaceted repertoire: Ramon Vargas sings in many languages and in particular in Russian, certainly including works of Russian classics in concert programs in Moscow.

A new meeting between Ramon Vargas and Russian music lovers will coincide with Christmas celebrations in the Western world. This time he will delight listeners with a wide stylistic scope - he will perform arias from operas by Mozart, Donizetti, Verdi, Puccini, Bizet and, of course, he will not forget about his signature Russian aria - Lensky from the opera “Eugene Onegin” by Tchaikovsky. The famous artist will be accompanied by the Russian National Youth Symphony Orchestra conducted by the Italian maestro Federico Santi.

A conductor and composer in demand in Europe, professor at the Maastricht Conservatory, Federico Santi worked for several years as a tutor-consultant on working with the Italian repertoire at the Academy of Young Opera Singers of the Mariinsky Theater and conducted many performances at the theater as a guest conductor, preparing the premiere of a new production of the opera “Lucia di Lammermoor" Donizetti. In 2021, he acted as musical director of the production of Donizetti’s opera “Elisir of Love” at the Moscow Theater named after K. S. Stanislavsky and Vl. I. Nemirovich-Danchenko.
