Acceptance of applications is over

The acceptance of applications for participation in the III All-Russian competition of symphony orchestra artists has been completed. It will be held from 18 to 23 August in Moscow at the Philharmonia-2.

This year, 241 applications were submitted to the competition, 221 musicians were allowed to participate in the correspondence qualifying round. The geography of the contestants covers 46 regions of Russia, 84 cities and towns. All the largest higher musical institutions of Russia are represented: Moscow, St. Petersburg Ural, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Novosibirsk, Rostov and Saratov conservatories, the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music, the Schnittke Moscow State Institute of Music - only 17 universities, as well as the Mozarteum University in Salzburg.

The competition will be held in fourteen orchestral specialties. The winners will be awarded cash prizes; by the decision of the jury, the participants may be offered a job (internship) in the Russian National Youth Symphony Orchestra.
