Opening of the festival “TAURIDA.ART”

The Russian National Youth Symphony Orchestra will begin its 2021/2022 season with a tour in Taurida (Crimea). On September 8 together with the Yurlov Russian State Academic Choir the young musicians will open the festival “TAURIDA.ART” with Giuseppe Verdi’s Requiem – an immortal masterpiece in the funeral mass genre which is often performed in opera houses. The soloists are Valentina Fedeneva (soprano), Agunda Kulaeva (mezzosoprano), Alexey Tatarintsev (tenor) and Askar Abdrazakov (bass). All the vocal parts will be sung in Russian: the performance is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the beginning of the siege of Leningrad.
