RNYSO Symphony Intensive Workshop and concerts at Sirius

The Russian National Youth Symphony Orchestra continues its creative cooperation with the Sirius Educational Center. The orchestra will spend the first twelve days of June in Sochi, where they will study with young musicians, perform open-air chamber compositions and present four concert programs in the Great Hall of the Park of Science and Art. The performances of the RNYSO will kick off the Sirius Summer Youth Festival.

The first joint educational project of Sirius and RNYSO took place two years ago. In early June, instrumentalists from different cities of Russia aged 11 to 17 will gather again in Sochi: the artists of the Youth Orchestra will hold a Symphony Intensive Workshop for them, in which young musicians will learn the art of orchestral performance.

The Russian National Youth Symphony Orchestra will open the tour on June 1 with a program for children and youth. Honored Artist of Russia Nonna Grishaeva will take part in the concert. The program of the second night (June 3) is composed of textbook pieces of the classical repertoire: Edvard Grieg's Piano Concerto (soloist — Vadim Rudenko) and Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's Fourth Symphony. The RNYSO artists will hold an unusual concert on June 6: on the open-air stage they will present serenades by Mozart, Dvorak and Strauss — compositions created specifically for outdoor performance.

The main reporting concert of the students of the Sirius Educational Center will be a symphony night on June 11: young instrumentalists aged 11 to 17 years old, who have completed an intensive workshop under the guidance of musicians from the RNYSO, will perform as full members of the orchestra. The soloists are the laureate of the International Tchaikovsky Competition Pavel Milyukov (violin) and the young virtuoso, winner of international competitions Fyodor Osver (oboe).

On June 12, the RNYSO will complete a series of performances with a concert dedicated to the Day of Russia, it will be attended by the Grand Choir "Masters of Choral Singing" and the soloist of the Perm Opera and Ballet Theater, guest soloist of the Bolshoi Theater Vasily Ladyuk (baritone), and the RNYSO pupils of Sirius will also join it.

All concerts will be conducted by the young maestro Alexey Rubin, laureate of all-Russian competitions, conductor of the New Russia State Symphony Orchestra.
