The Summer Youth Festival in Sirius opened with a performance by the RNYSO

On June 1, the Summer Youth Festival opened in the Great Hall of the Sirius Park of Science and Art in Sochi. The first event of the project was the performance of the Russian National Youth Symphony Orchestra conducted by Alexei Rubin. The RNMSO artists will spend 12 days in Sochi, they will work with the pupils of the Sirius Educational Center and present four more concert programs, in two of them young musicians will join the main part of the orchestra.

The RNMSO tour in Sirius traditionally began with a concert addressed to children and youth. The popular theater, film and television actress, Honored Artist of Russia Nonna Grishaeva took part in it. The concert was hosted by Yaroslav Timofeev, candidate of art history, one of the most sought-after lecturers in Russia, author and leader of educational projects of the Moscow Philharmonic.

Among the spectators who greeted the performance of the Youth Orchestra with a standing ovation were young participants of the intensive workshop of the Symphony Academy from different cities of Russia - they will master the art of playing in the orchestra under the guidance of the artists of the RNMSO. Daily classes will begin on June 5, and a week later, on June 11 and 12, intensive participants will perform on the same stage with their mentors. These concerts will be the culmination and conclusion of the creative session.

Listeners of the Summer Youth Festival are also waiting for the performances of the RNMSO on June 3 in the Great Hall of the Park of Science and Art and on June 6 on the open-air stage in the School Atrium of the Sirius Educational Center. The festival will last until June 27 and will bring together leading young musicians, dancers and vocalists from all over the country.
