Concert tour in Krasnoyarsk
The Russian National Youth Symphony Orchestra performed in Krasnoyarsk. The concerts took place on September 30 and October 1, 2020 – in the Small and Grand Halls of the Philharmonic.
On the first night, September 30, the popular classics sounded: well-known symphonic scores of Beethoven, Ravel, Tchaikovsky, as well as fragments of symphonies by Mendelssohn and Brahms were performed under the direction of Alexey Rubin.
On October 1, the International Day of Music, Krasnoyarsk citizens heard Rachmaninov's Third Concerto and Tchaikovsky's Pathetic Symphony. Maestro Dimitris Botinis took the lead. The soloist was the laureate of several prestigious international competitions, including the 14th International Tchaikovsky Competition, pianist Alexander Romanovsky.
Both nights the program was commented on by the brilliant musicologist, the permanent host of the RNYSO concerts Yaroslav Timofeev.
This is not the first time the youth orchestra has come to Krasnoyarsk: in the spring of 2019, the musicians gave three concerts in the Krasnoyarsk region and immediately fell in love with the audience, who happily met again with the youngest symphony collective in Russia.
