Alexander Tchaikovsky. Anniversary author's concert
On March 1, the Russian National Youth Symphony Orchestra will take part in an author's concert dedicated to the 75th anniversary of Alexander Tchaikovsky, a famous composer, pianist, teacher, public personality, artistic director of the Moscow Philharmonic. The event will take place at the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall. The orchestra will present two Moscow premieres of works by Alexander Tchaikovsky — the Seventh ("Quarantine") Symphony and Concerto No. 3 for piano and orchestra, in which pianist Ekaterina Mechetina will be the soloist. The RNYSO will also perform a Concerto for Guitar and Orchestra: the solo part will be performed by Artyom Dervoed. Valentin Uryupin, one of the brightest Russian conductors of the young generation, will be at the conductor's stand.
