Concerts with Alexander Lazarev and Alexandre Kantorow
On March 13 and 15, Alexander Lazarev, one of the masters of the national conducting school, whose concerts invariably become major events thanks to non-trivial programs and unforgettable interpretations, will take the stand of the RNYSO. Under his baton, the orchestra will present a program dedicated to the masterpieces of Russian symphonic music of the 20th century. The Seventh ("Leningrad") Symphony by Dmitry Shostakovich and the Second Piano Concerto by Sergei Prokofiev will be performed, the solo part in which will be played by Alexandre Kantorow, winner of the 16th International Tchaikovsky Competition. The concerts will be held at the Philharmonia-2 and in the Tchaikovsky Hall.
