"Concerts for Youth"

The Russian National Youth Symphony Orchestra and the Sirius Educational Center in Sochi present a joint project “Concerts for Youth”. On June 7, 29 young musicians from all over Russia aged 11—17 years old will take the stage with the orchestra's artists: after a week-long course at the Symphony Academy of the Russian National Academy of Music and Society, their interpretations will include works by Beethoven, Brahms, Tchaikovsky, Mahler and Shostakovich. On June 9, RNYSO will perform Beethoven's Seventh Symphony and Third Piano Concerto (soloist — Roman Sosnin), as well as the Concerto for Oboe and Orchestra by Richard Strauss (soloist — Alexey Savinkov). The final concert on June 10 is dedicated to the music of three great German symphonists: Beethoven's Violin Concerto (soloist — Pavel Milyukov), Mendelssohn's Fourth Symphony and Richard Strauss's poem "The Merry Tricks of Thiel Ulenspiegel" will be performed. Conductor — Dimitris Botinis, host — Yaroslav Timofeev. All concerts will take place in the Great Hall of the Sirius Park of Science and Art in Sochi.
