International debuts of RNYSO
In the summer of 2021 the Russian National Youth Symphony Orchestra will go on its first international tours and will perform in two leading concert halls of Austria and Switzerland. On 24 June in the Golden Hall of the Wiener Musikverein under the baton of Julian Rachlin the young musicians will play two works by Tchaikovsky – the Fifth Symphony and the First Piano Concerto (soloist – Denis Matsuev). On 10 August the orchestra will perform at the Lucerne Culture and Congress Centre under the direction of Valentin Uryupin, the programme will consist of the Violin Concerto (soloist — Sergei Dogadin) and the Sixth (“Pathétique”) Symphony by Tchaikovsky.
