Summer concerts of RNYSO
The 2020/2021 season is over, but the Russian National Youth Symphony Orchestra is continuing its concert activity. Shortly after the All-Russian Competition for Symphony Orchestra Artists, which finished on 3 July, the RNYSO will make its debut at the open-air festival “Summer. Music. Museum”. On 15 July the young musicians will perform the overture from Rossini’s “La gazza ladra”, Mozart’s Third Violin Concerto and Mahler’s First Symphony on the site of the “New Jerusalem” Museum in Istra. The concert will be conducted by Kirill Karabits. In the last summer month the orchestra will tour Switzerland. On 10 August two works by Tchaikovsky — the Sixth (“Pathétique”) Symphony and the Violin Concerto (with Sergei Dogadin as the soloist) — will be performed under the baton of Valentin Uryupin at the KKL Luzern Concert Hall.
